Recognized as a "The Top Hotel in Maine" in "The Top 500 Hotels in the World" by Condé Nast Travelers 2012 Gold List
"A classic Maine coastal escape," this yellow Greek Revival–style inn is more than 100 years old. The Great Room, with its large stone fireplace and mixed-print furniture, is designed for reading and board games. At the contemporary American restaurant, dinner is served indoors or on the screened-in porch; every Monday, there’s a special Nostalgia Night menu of classic dinner favorites like steak and eggs. "The food was unreal, the service spectacular." Sunset Landing’s local beers on tap include Allagash White and Peak Organic Nut Brown Ale. Each room is unique, decorated with local art but has no phones or TVs.
