Recreation
Recreation Center
This multi-purpose center features a gym, fitness room, a tennis court and a public heated pool. Join in a game of volleyball every Wednesday evening. The teen center is open on weekends and features ping pong, satellite television, and a pool table.
Tennis
Weather permitting, the tennis court at the Recreation Center is open daily to the public. The private tennis club, featuring clay courts, is also available to hotel guests. Guests may play at the courts if unoccupied.
The Great Chebeague Golf Club
Adjacent to the Inn is a 9-hole golf course with an ocean view at every hole. The golf course is open to the public at specified times. All scheduling can be made at the clubhouse.
Hiking
Deer Point, located on the West End, is a site of rock formations overlooking Casco Bay. This secluded area is most impressive when a storm is on the horizon or the wind is gusting from the south. Deer Point remains a favorite location among the natives for watching a storm roll in. Much of the local artwork originated at this site.
Boat Trips
Boat trips to Eagle Island can be arranged for small parties. This island, a historical site, was once the summer home of the North Pole explorer Admiral Robert E. Peary, which is now a state museum for all to enjoy. This trip features sight-seeing of osprey and seals in their natural habitat. Arrangements can also be made to explore some of the other islands of Casco Bay.
Fishing
Enjoy fishing or fly fishing with Captains John or Eric aboard their motorboats. Venture to different fishing locations and test the waters for yourself!
Schooner Sailing Voyages
Portland Schooner Company would like you to experience the Maine coastline on the Bagheera. Sail this historical vessel, originally launched in 1924. You can also arrange for a private charter on their newly launched 88-foot schooner, Wendameen.
L.L. Bean Outdoor Discovery
Enjoy a half-day kayaking adventure on Casco Bay. Departing from Freeport, Maine, it is suitable for beginners and experienced paddlers. Instructors are on hand to ensure courses are for your skill level and interest. Be sure to visit other sights, shopping, and restaurants while in Freeport.

The Museum of Chebeague History
Built in 1871, this once schoolhouse captures the deep roots of the island. Much of the island's history unfolds here with a historical view of the artwork and artifacts on display.
The Chebeague Library
All are welcome at the library. Internet access and a wireless network are available. Be sure to bring the children for story time every Thursday morning.
Chandler Cove Wharf
Chandler Cove wharf, located on the west end, is the landing for the Casco Bay Ferry. In Portland, you will be within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. This wharf is also known to most as the best fishing spot on the island!
Chebeague United Methodist Church
All are welcome to visit this historic church built in 1855. Please join in worship every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. A Catholic Mass is celebrated Saturday evenings at 6:15 p.m. during July through Labor Day. For people interested in history, visit the cemetery located next to the church containing graves dating back to 1825.
